May 26: Memorial Day
As we honor Memorial Day, it is timely to acknowledge the many contributions made by armed forces water-supply engineers, whose work has rarely if ever attracted much attention, but without whose own sacrifice many other servicemembers would have faced illness or even death in addition to the perils of combat.
